Miro launches new ART Bubbles project on InsideArt.tv

Miro Films has launched a new series of video shorts – ARTBubbles – on the InsideArt.tv website.

The new series will be produced in 3-5minute segments and will be uploaded weekly on InsideArt. The new program will showcase leading Australian artists talking freely and unfiltered about their work, their life and their passions. It’s art from the artists’ perspective.

ARTBubbles will be written, directed and produced by Michel Lawrence.

The first episode features Australia’s leading stencil artist, the highly acclaimed Luke Cornish, also known as ELK in the street art fraternity where he made his name with large scale, multi-layered stencil art, made from multiple hand-cut stencils.

Luke’s major breakthrough came with his portrait of Father Bob McGuire, the sometimes controversial Catholic Priest from South Melbourne. Luke’s portrait of father Bob was a finalist in the Archibald Prize 2 years ago and triggered Luke’s entry into the world of galleries and away from the back streets where his work was first noticed.

His latest exhibition, Concrete Jungle, was staged at Metro Gallery in Malvern and with prices in the high 20’s for major works saw him reach another level in his career. His work will also be showcased by Metro Gallery at the 2016 Hong Kong Art Fair.

In ARTBubbles Luke talks openly and frankly about his career, how he works and how he uses social media in the new  gallery world of the new age.
